$3 million LDC funding from Queensland Government extends project to 2025

The Queensland Government has announced a further $3 million for Phase 2 of the Landholders Driving Change (LDC) project in the Bowen Broken Bogie (BBB) catchment, which includes the Bowen and Collinsville region.

This is great acknowledgement of landholders’ efforts and achievements to date, and we take our hats off to the BBB community for committing to continue to increase the productivity of their land while improving water quality through landscape interventions and land management.

This investment will continue to support graziers, other land managers asnd the community to reduce sediment run-off, while continuing to develop a better understanding of best practice land management to improve water quality.

LDC was born from recommendations made by the Great Barrier Reef Water Science Taskforce, and started rolling out five years ago, in 2017.
