Busy year, now let it rain
AS the year draws to a close, we are all looking for relief from the atrocious weather conditions that we’re currently experiencing. Fingers crossed we get some moisture before too much longer.
On the upside, the dry conditions have been ideal for gully remediation and a number of sites are now complete or close to completion.
Project reports completed in September highlighted the project achievements for the first 18 months.
Eight months into the role of project manager, I am still continually being amazed by the level of interest and support shown by the BBB community in this project.
Mick Shannon has settled into the grazing team leader role, and Cherry Emerick recently started as the senior project officer, leading the Influencing Other Land Managers and New Incentives activity areas.
This is an opportune time for me to thank the entire LDC team. Your commitment, passion and work ethic inspires me.
Lastly, thank you to all of you who have worked in, or with, the project this year. I hope you have a safe, relaxed and wet festive season and look forward to working with you all again in 2020.
Cheers,
Lisa
