Weed hygiene workshop | Landholders Driving Change

Weed hygiene workshop

LDC is hosting a Weed Hygiene at the Collinsville Workers Club on Monday, 4 March, 9am to 3pm.  Landholders will learn about biosecurity, government legislation, and how to clean and inspect vehicles and machinery for plant materials.

The goal of the workshop is to:

  • Increase awareness of biosecurity and build capacity in the BBB catchment to effectively manage the spread of weeds
  • Learn how to clean and inspect vehicles and machinery for plant materials
  • Understand government legislation and requirements
  • Provide a general awareness of biosecurity threats and impacts on businesses

The training is being conducted by leaders in biosecurity training, TH9 Outdoor Services, based at Nobby (near Toowoomba).  Participants will receive a certificate from NQ Dry Tropics as a record of their attendance.

The Landholders Driving Change project will pay for the workshop, so it will be free to all BBB graziers.
