Lisa Hutchinson

Lisa joins the LDC team

NQ Dry Tropics’ Lisa Hutchinson is joining the LDC team as a Senior Project Officer.

Lisa’s strong connections with the BBB grazing community along with her extensive experience in the agriculture industry, will add immediate value to the team.  We’re glad she is on board.

Lisa  played a key role in facilitating events in the design and initial implementation of the Burdekin Major Integrated Project, Landholders Driving Change project because of her strong connections within the BBB grazing community.

Lisa will lead the Influencing Other Land Managers and Exploring New Incentives Activity Areas, and coordinate activities under the Policy Engagement Activity Area.

She will also deliver on the community leadership and governance program, and coordinate associated project field days and workshops for this program.

Lisa has worked at NQ Dry Tropics for five years and has been instrumental in the development of Grazing BMP in the Burdekin Dry Tropics NRM region.

She has delivered Grazing BMP to landholders, was instrumental in developing the Grazing BMP accreditation process, and has trained coordinators from other regions in audit facilitation.

As a landholder, she also holds organisational roles across multiple community events and organisations.  Her active support for the Woman in Grazing movement is also much valued within the grazing community.
